Administrative Director of the Luther College Health Services Luther College invites applications for Administrative Director of the Luther College Health Service. The director is a member of the Division of Student Life staff and reports to the Vice President and Dean for Student Life. The director oversees a comprehensive college health center program and a professional and lay staff that includes contracted physicians, registered nurses, a dietician, a massage therapist, a transcriptionist, an administrative assistant, and student employees. The director will lead the department and assure a professional standard of care is met, provide consultative support for the health center staff and other campus colleagues and maintain department resources. The director is expected to effectively, network with, and develop strong relationships with local providers and health care professionals. The director is expected to embrace a research-based and data-driven approach in order to identify strategic initiatives that ensure the health service is advancing its mission and managing college resources effectively. The administrative director provides advanced care to students. The scope of care includes minor trauma, acute and chronic illnesses, reproductive health care, and health maintenance and health promotion for a diverse student population. Additionally, the director provides care and assists in the management of health services for students with stable chronic illnesses and disabilities and may include in-depth assessments and plans for ongoing care. The director identifies and responds to students at risk for serious health conditions.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensed, or eligible to be licensed, in the State of Iowa is required. Nurse practitioner certification should be from a nationally recognized accrediting body. For nurse practitioner, an advanced Nurse Practitioner license, Master's degree or higher, and current DEA license. Additional characteristics include five years of experience, with some of that experience with college health or adult populations. Sensitivity to development issues of young adults and willingness to function as a team member are essential. Experience with mental health issues and basic knowledge of psychotropic medication prescribing preferred. An understanding of the nurse practitioner or physician assistant scope of practice and prior administrative experience in a primary care setting is preferred. This is an 11-month position. Start date is negotiable. ● Works with the Multimedia Lead to support multimedia technologies on campus, including video, audio, textual, graphical, and other electronic media.

Tennis Coaching Intern
