7:30PM–Guest Recital
The recital by Professor Christopher Taylor will be in the Jenson-Noble Hall of Music. Admission is free.
Saturday, Nov. 10
8:00 a.m.–Registration Begins
Lobby of Jenson-Noble Hall of Music. All participating students and teachers are asked to report to the registration desk upon arrival to pick-up information and to pay registration fees. Please make every effort to be registered by 11:00 a.m.
8:30 a.m. to 9:50 a.m.–Soloists perform for the critics.
You must be registered before appearing.
10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.–"Meet the Critics"
Coffee and conversation for students, parents, and teachers.
10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.–Luther Book Shop and Gift Shop open.
10:30 a.m. to 11:55 a.m.–Soloists perform for the critics.
9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.–Luther College admissions office open.
12:00—1:00 p.m.–Lunch
Lunch for students and parents will be offered in the Student Union Cafeteria ($7.65) and is also available in Marty's Cyber Cafe, which is located downstairs in the Union.
1:00 p.m. to 3:20 p.m.–Soloists continue to perform.
3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.–"What's In My Piano?" Presentation by Luther College piano technician/tuner Ryan Mix
Meet in the Recital Hall (Jenson-Noble Hall of Music).
4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.–Student Recitals
Based on performances given earlier in the day, critics nominate certain students to perform their pieces once again on one of the simultaneous afternoon recitals or on the evening recital. These honor recitals are open to all interested listeners at no charge.
Recitals will be held in the Recital Hall, Sundt Organ Studio, and Choir Room (Jenson-Noble Hall of Music).
7:00 p.m.–Dorian Festival Honor Recital
The performance by the outstanding Festival soloists will be held in the Recital Hall (Jenson-Noble Hall of Music). Free admission.
Sunday, Nov. 11
Noon to 3:00 p.m.–Public Master Class by Guest Artist
Recital Hall (Jenson-Noble Hall of Music). Free Admission. Professor Taylor will work with six advanced Luther College piano students in a masterclass setting.
