In this musical of the Dickens classic, we meet miserly Ebenezer Scrooge on Christmas Eve maintaining his Christmas “humbug,” Bob Cratchit, and his frail son, Tiny Tim. Ebenezer’s visits from a succession of spirits—the ghost of his deceased partner, Jacob Marley, and the Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present, and Yet-to-Come—cause him to reconsider his life and remind us that the holidays are a “kind, forgiving, charitable time.”
