Luther finished 17 points behind Wartburg College and finished second at the Iowa Conference Championships here in Decorah.

The Norse tallied 45 points and had four runners earn all-conference. Wartburg had four runners finish in the top-10 en route to a point total of 28. Loras College was third with 78.

Emma Spoon became the fourth runner in Luther history to be named the Iowa Conference MVP twice. Spoon won the individual title with a time of 22:34.2. She finished ahead of Emily Eimers of Wartburg who was clocked at 22:36.8.

Also earning all-conference for the Norse by finishing in the top-15 from the field of 125 runners was Melissa Erickson (5th), Christina Storlie (10th), and Maggie Pierson (11th).

Sam McAllister (18th), Anna Murray (22nd) and Jayne Cole (23rd) completed Luther's top seven.

Luther will be off until the Central Regional Championships that will be hosted by Wartburg College on Nov. 12. Race time is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
