Luther lost a hard fought 2-1 double overtime decision to St. Olaf College this afternoon in Northfield, Minn.
Kendra Ledel gave the Norse an early 1-0 lead with her fifth goal of the season in the 25th minute, assisted by Maggie Herrity (1). St. Olaf tied the match at 35:03 on a goal by Lindsay Howard. Howard also secured the victory for the Oles scoreing the game winner in the 112th minute.
St. Olaf placed 11 shots on goal, while the Norse tallied three. St. Olaf also had an advantage in total shots 20-5 and corner kicks 4-0.
The loss drops Luther's overall record to 1-3. St. Olaf is now 2-0.
Luther will travel to UW-Stevens Point on Saturday, Sept. 10. This match will begin at 2:00 p.m.
