Luther finished second at today's Norse Relays posting a point total of 173.50. Augustana-Rock Island won the team championship with 213.50 points. Hamline University was third with 167.

Two relays and one individual tallied first place finishes. Leah Broderick recorded Luther's lone individual first place finish in the high jump. Broderick won the event with a height of 4-11 3/4.

The 4 x 800 foursome of Maggie Pierson, Nicole Powers, Jessica Mietz and Sam McAllister won the event with the eighth fastest time in school history clocked at 9:37.95.

The 1600 sprint medley relay of Sarah Matthiesen, Broderick, Bailey Mulholland and Lauren Stokke clocked a winning performance of 4:20.53.

The 4 x 1600 relay was one of eight second place finishes by the Norse. Emma Spoon, Christian Storlie, Jayne Cole and Melissa Erickson posted a time of 21:16.64 that ranks fifth all-time.

The Norse will return to action on April 20 when they will travel to Rock Island, Ill., for the Augustana Invite.
