Food, Purchasing, and Waste
Priorities for 2012-13 Academic year
- Develop personal composting system for students living in residence halls
- Collaborate with students to figure out a composting solution for Baker Village
- Review and analyze solid waste numbers and trends
- Develop Green Cleaning Product Policy
- Develop Energy Star Appliance Policy
- Research and learn more about e-waste recycling and promote to campus community
- Develop a comprehensive set of food purchasing guidelines that can be recommended to the cabinet
Policies
The following policies were developed by the Food, Purchasing, and Waste Task Group and recommended to the President.
Food Purchasing Guidelines are in the process of being developed for 15 product categories and will be posted soon.
