Winter Bike Storage
Thursday, Nov. 19th and Friday, Nov. 20th 2009
3 - 6 p.m. at the rear (east) entrance of the Ashmore-Jewell Barn
To help promote the use of bicycles as an alternative forms of transportation, Luther offers free winter storage for bicycles.
Bicycles will be placed in secure, dry storage in the Ashmore-Jewell Barn (the red barn next to Baker Village.) The barn will be open Nov. 19 and 20 from 3-6 p.m. to accept bikes. The bikes will be locked together and placed in storage by college personnel.
Please note that bikes can be taken out of winter storage on only three dates:
- Dec. 12 (Reading Day)
- Two additional days in the spring to be determined.
If you are interested in placing your bike in winter storage, please bring your bike to the rear (east) entrance of the Ashmore-Jewell Barn on Nov. 19 or 20 from 3-6 p.m.
If you have questions, please contact Dan Bellrichard at danbellrichard@luther.edu.
On Nov. 25, during Thanksgiving Break, the following bike racks will be removed to prepare the campus for snow removal:
- Farwell Bridge
- Larson/Olson parking lot
- South side of the Union
Any bikes locked to those racks or any handrails, signs, posts, sidewalks, and trees around campus will be cut off and taken into
possession by the college.
